1. Keep it covered when it's not in use - A poker table cover is relatively cheap, but it can really help preserve your table. A cover will help prevent sun damage, keep the dust away, and help prevent scuffs and spills from damaging your table when it's not in use
   
   
2. Use a fabric protector - Accidents happen. A good coating of something like Scotchguard can help prevent drink spills and stains from sinking in.
